Clean up Sales Quotations!

Similar to cleaning up sales orders, it may be a periodic task to clean up your sales quotations. I also advise that you run this prior to running the sales update history cleanup.

AX 2012

In Sales and Marketing > Periodic > Clean up, look for Delete Quotations. 

after you click select, you will presented with a query to select which quotations you would like to delete.

Once you click ok, this will stage a record on the delete quotations screen to let you know what orders will be included in the delete operation. At this point, you have 2 options. If you click ok, this will delete all of the sales quotations interactively; you'll have to wait until its done. You can also click batch, set it to use batch execution then click ok. With batch processing, the request will be sent off to run whenever there is time for it. Click Ok, you will be asked to confirm you would like to delete all of the quotations in the grid and click yes. This will loop through all Sales quotations in the list and attempt to delete them using standard functionality. If you are not able to delete them on the sales quotations list page for whatever reason, the same error checking will be executed using this screen. As part of this, it will attempts to delete all sales quotations lines with the sales quotation. If a line or header can't be deleted then nothing is changed for that sales quotation. This really just lets you delete sales quotations in larger quantities than you could with a list page.
